Cookie Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Spica uses only the cookies it needs to work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third party analytics.
The cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
sid | Keeps you signed in to your Spica account. | Until you sign out, or it expires |
gstate | Protects "Continue with Google" sign-in from forged requests. | 10 minutes |
Both are set by hispica.com only, cannot be read by page scripts, and are used only for signing in. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not need consent.
Other storage in your browser
While you use Spica, it remembers small things for the current tab, such as which tab or slide you had open, in your browser's session storage. It also keeps a random code there for the current tab, so Spica's own analytics can tell one visit from another. All of this is cleared when you close the tab. See the Privacy Policy for what the analytics record.
Third parties
The pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them. See Google's own privacy policy for how they handle that.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the ones above, you will not be able to sign in.
